Hi, my name is Lucas Polo. I am an PhD student from Spain. I am doing my research at Escuela Politécnica Superior in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. I am also a member of the RFCAS (Radio Frequency: Circuits Antennas & Systems) research group.
I was born in 1992 and thanks to my parents job I spent my childhood surrounded by computers. This caused me to feel a huge fascination for all kind of electronic devices that led me to start my studies of “Ingeniería de Telecomunicación” (Electrical Engineering) in 2010. I obtained my BSc degree in 2014 after finishing my BSc Thesis, “Analysis and design of horn antennas with arbitrary profiles using Mode Matching”. After that I took a two year master course to obtain the “Máster Universitario en Ingeniería de Telecomunicación” degree (Master in Electrical Engineering). Currently I’m a PhD student and I want to continue my professional career as an academic, dedicated both to teaching and research.
Here are some of my research interests:
- Modelling of waveguide devices
- Horn antennas
- Mode-Matching
- Additive manufacturing
- Optimization
